Instructional Media Services

The Instructional Design Center helps provide eCampus faculty with tools to create engaging, relevant content for students. Multimedia production—from professionally-produced videos to podcasts to interactive timelines—is one way educators can deepen and improve the online learning experience.

Using multimedia in the digital classroom can help keep students engaged, allow instructors to present important information in multiple formats, mimic in-person classroom interactivity, help students collaborate on assignments, and help build a sense of learning community (see, for example, Miller, 2009). There are lots of examples from EKU instructors available in both the Faculty Showcase and the following Multimedia Production pages.
